Professional Agile Leadership Essentials is a 2 day workshop to equip leaders and managers of Agile teams along with their Product Owners and Scrum Masters to help their organizations change by providing participants with:

• An overview of what “Agile” is and why organizations need it to thrive in a changing world.
• The means to identify the potential opportunities, challenges and impacts of Agile in terms of business value and why this is so important to the next generation organization.
• An understanding of techniques to support teams to sustain long-term agility including the role that leaders play, shifts in thinking, and the relationship between complexity and empiricism.
• Ways to continue the development of the people to help them grow and prosper in an agile way of working. • Guidance of how to measure and guide agile product delivery.
• Discuss ways to scale agility across several teams within the organization while keeping them working together to deliver on a common vision.

Professional Agile Leadership Certification

All participants completing the Professional Agile Leadership - Essentials course will receive a password to attempt the Professional Agile Leadership I (PAL I) certification assessment. PAL-E class participants who attempt the PAL I assessment within 14 days of receiving their free password and do not score at least 85% will be granted a 2nd attempt at no additional cost.

In this course in the US, students will learn how Scrum Teams can add additional Kanban practices while continuing to work with Scrum, all without changing Scrum.

After completing this course, the participant will:

• Understand how the flow works in the context of Scrum.
• Learn about Kanban practices, learn what scrum teams can apply them to improve their effectiveness and efficiency.
• Learn how to effectively use appropriate Kanban practices without changing Scrum.
• Learn a practical approach to improving the transparency and visibility of their work.

Training allows you to develop your competencies, learn advanced knowledge, techniques, tools and practices in the area of conducting projects based on the "Scrum framework" from the perspective of a Scrum Master - a leader responsible for understanding and applying Scrum effectiveness. The training is a natural continuation of the path of development for Scrum Masters.

The training is dedicated to Scrum Masters who are interested in further developing, implementing and improving the effectiveness of Scrum in the organization.

As part of the training, participants are prepared for certification - Scrum Master level II through a test exam and have the opportunity to take the certification exam.

This instructor-led, live training in the US (online or onsite) is aimed at expert-level developers who wish to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in applying Scrum to software development projects.

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

• Gain a solid understanding of the Scrum framework, its values, and principles.
• Learn how to integrate DevOps practices with Scrum to support continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automation.
• Apply Scrum principles and practices in real-world software development scenarios and case studies.
• Prepare for the Professional Scrum Developer™ Certification.

In this 2-day Scaled Professional Scrum (SPS) workshop, students will simulate a large software development project using the Nexus™ framework. The workshop is delivered using an end-to-end case study where students work together to organize and simulate a scaled software development project. Throughout the workshop, students will be introduced to more than 50 practices that can be used to help reduce complexity and dependencies at scale. The workshop will provide students with an understanding of how to launch, structure, staff, and manage a large Agile project using Scrum. Throughout the workshop, students will learn the infrastructure, tools and practices needed to successfully scale Scrum to maximize the value of their software development initiative. By taking a hands-on approach, students are fully engaged in the learning process where they see first-hand the challenges in large-scale development initiatives and solutions for getting the work back on track. They will leave the workshop with techniques to detect irregularities and how to address them appropriately.

This course is designed as an experiential workshop where students learn how to scale Scrum using the Nexus™ framework. Throughout, you are introduced to the artifacts and events within the framework, the new Nexus Integration Team role, along with more than 50 associated practices.

Certification Assessments

All participants completing the Scaled Professional Scrum course will receive a password to attempt the Scaled Professional Scrum (SPS) assessment. SPS class participants who attempt the SPS assessment within 14 days of receiving their free password and do not score at least 85% will be granted a 2nd attempt at no additional cost. The industry-recognized SPS certification requires a minimum passing score of 85% and involves understanding of the Nexus Framework, knowledge from the course and of Scrum.
